Dress Code: Beach Formal

Bula! As we count down to November, we're excited to share some guidelines for the "Beach Formal" dress code. Let's dive in!

Colour Palette

Our wedding colours are pastel shades of purple, pink, green, orange and blue (the colours of this website and shown below). These colours are for decor and bridal party so feel free to either use these colours or not, whatever makes you most comfortable.

What does "Beach Formal" mean?

You can find some guidelines here. But basically, for the ladies, think elegant sundresses, chic maxi dresses, or tailored jumpsuits in lightweight fabrics like silk or chiffon. Gentlemen, opt for light-coloured dress shirts paired with linen trousers or lightweight chinos.

Do's and Don'ts

  • Do: Choose elegant sundresses, chic maxi dresses, light-coloured dress shirts, linen trousers, or lightweight chinos.

  • Do: Opt for lightweight fabrics like silk or chiffon.

  • Do: Consider tropical-inspired patterns or colours to embrace the beachy vibe.

  • Do: Bring a light wrap or jacket for cooler evening temperatures.

  • Don't: Opt for overly casual beach footwear, including jandals.

  • Don't: Wear jeans, shorts, or athletic wear.

  • Don't: Choose formal evening wear that is too heavy or restrictive for a beach setting.

  • Don't: Forget to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly

Final Tips for Dressing in Fiji's November Climate

  • Stay Cool: Choose breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, and lightweight synthetics.

  • Footwear: Sandals, wedges, or lightweight dress shoes are ideal.

  • Sun Protection: Don't forget sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen.

In Conclusion Our Fiji wedding is a celebration of love, joy, and tropical beauty. We can't wait to see your "Beach Formal" style as we create unforgettable memories together in paradise. See you at the next update!
